Gnawww ... It's August already

I can hardly believe that 7 months in this year have flown by me, and only 5 more remain. And to top it all, it only seems like yesterday when I put in my last post. So what's held me back all the while, you may ask ...

Well, a lot of things. Been very busy lately and hardly had any time to ponder about the things around me. To borrow a very cheesy line, "I'm juggling too many balls at the same time". Then why the sudden outburst of thoughts today??? Aha, good question. I met a schoolmate of mine today and booooommmm .... All the scenes from my kiddo-days came rushing back to me. The hour-long drive back home was long enough for my sinister mind to throw up some interesting thoughts.

As kids, we all have such wonderful dreams, such eloquent imagination ... One day I wanted to join the Army, and on another, I wanted to be a Scientist. Sometimes I wanted to join Public Service, and at some other loony times, I wanted to be the most influential person in the world. I'm pretty sure that all of those ain't remotely close to what I am today.

Here comes the twist in the tale, the pinch of salt in the meal ...

... It's not that I am done with living my life. Neither have you. On the contrary, I would like to believe that I am only starting to live. My age doesn't matter. It never has, it never will. It's only that dirty old boy at play here. The hooded freak. MY MIND. If only, each one of us pursued the long cherished dreams buried under the sands of time and hidden behind the cobwebs of age, then the world would be a much better place.

Naah, It may not turn out to be a better place after all, but what the hell?? I would have atleast tried.
